Tasty Summer Shots

While shopping at my local adult beverage store, a representative of Fireball Whiskey was demonstrating some shots for using their cinnamon whiskey. Oh yes, they were quite tasty. These taste samplings lead me to get into my own R & D lab at home (my bar.) So here are some of the better ones from my research. Your tastes and mileage may vary.

Fire & Ice

Ingredients: chilled Fireball Whisky (or some cinnamon whiskey), chilled Rumple Minze (or other peppermint schnapps.)

Preparation: ½ shot of each ingredient into your favorite shot glass.

Note: If your liquor isn’t chilled, you might get a pronounced burning sensation. You could shake with ice and strain into your shot glass to chill.

Ingredients: chilled Fireball Whiskey, chilled RumChata.

Preparation: ½ shot of each ingredient into your favorite shot glass.

Note: As with the Fire & Ice, you can shake the ingredients with ice to chill, and strain into your shot glass.

Cajun Thunder (from our 21 Popular Drink Recipes eBook)shot glasses

Ingredients: 1½ oz. Southern Comfort, Splash of Cranberry, Dash of Tabasco®

Preparations: Shake and strain into shot glass.

Peach Cobbler (or Blackberry Cobbler)

Ingredients: 1 oz. Peach whiskey (or blackberry whiskey) chilled, ½ oz. RumChata, chilled.

Preparation: Pour whiskey into shot glass. Layer RumChata on top. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon.

Ingredients: 1 part RumChata, 1 part amaretto

Preparation: Shake with ice and strain into a shot glass.
